On the first day of September, the new school year of 2019-2020 began. On the occasion of celebrating the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and the 60th anniversary of the founding of National Ballet of China, 29 new students the Trainee Class of 2019 from all over the country attended the Opening Ceremony of The School of the National Ballet of China. Feng Ying, Director and Artistic Director of NBC and Principal of The Dance School, Wang Quanxing, Secretary of the Party Committee, Yang Xiong, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Wang Jishu and Zhu Yan, Deputy Directors of NBC, as well as Zhang Yongkai, Vice-Director of the Beijing Education Commission, Yao Linxiu, Director of the Development Planning Department, Wang Dongjiang, Director of Vocational and Adult Education Department, Wu Xiaozhe, Associate Investigator of Xicheng District Education Committee, together with Sang Chunmao, Principal of Beijing Yucai School (which cooperating with NBC) and Executive Vice-principal of The School of NBC, Qi Jianjun, Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Yucai School and Deputy Principal The School of NBC, and Wu Hongtao, Deputy Principal of Beijing Yucai School attended the opening ceremony. Ma Xueqiang, Head of the Teaching Research Group of The School of NBC, presided over the ceremony.

At the beginning of the opening ceremony, the teachers and students of The Dance School of NBC are singing the National Anthem in chorus.
