On January 5th, after the completion of "Chasing Dreams-- Internship Presentation of Dance School of National Ballet of China", Director Feng Ying stepped onto the stage and led all 84 students of the Dance School to offer the sincerest thanks to the teachers of Dance School of National Ballet of China.
In the past five years, the Dance School of National Ballet of China has always been adhering to professional cultivation, style inheritance, stage practice, humanistic qualification, social service, culture exchanges, and now it has achieved some results. Not long ago, on the stage of the Ballet Gala to Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the National Ballet of China, students of Dance School of NBC just gave a wonderful performance together with the stars and brothers and sisters of the Company. On January 5th, students came to the stage of Beijing Tianqiao Theater again and made a sincere presentation on their learning achievements to their parents, teachers and audiences from all walks of life.
The presentation was hosted by Ma Xueqiang,
Head of the Teaching Research Group of the Dance School of NBC.
The presentation was divided into two parts, showing the basic daily training in classes and the performance of different ballet works. In the first half, students showed all aspects of their daily teaching from the most basic barre training.
The display of Pas de Deux
In the presentation, the students performed several excerpts of different dance styles from Russia, Hungary and other countries.
Students performed Tibetan dance, Northeast YangGe and other excerpts in the presentation.
With The Evercountry, Mine as the background music,
teachers and students specially created a Chinese dance.
Led by teacher Wang Sizheng, the fifth-grade students made exploration on modern dance. In the presentation, the students opened the modern dance exhibition with a "big discussion", showing their own modern dance style.
In the second half of the presentation, students performed several excerpts of ballet works of varied styles of National Ballet of China: excerpts from La Sylphide Act II,Fuwa Dance from The Nutcracker (Chinese Version), Five-Inch Dagger Dance from The Red Detachment of Women, Dance of Little Deer from The Nine-Colored Deer, the first original Chinese fairy tale ballet, which is tailored to the students of the Dance School of NBC, Fisherman,s Dance from Don Quixote, as well as the character dance and the Prince and Black Swan variations from Swan Lake.
Finally, excerpts from Swan Lake Act II were selected for staged as the last performance. In retrospect, the Experimental Ballet Troupe of Beijing Dance Academy, the former National Ballet of China, staged Swan Lake just four years after its establishment. Now, the Dance School of National Ballet of China, which has just entered its fifth year of operation, also looks back and pays homage to history with its brilliant performance of Swan Lake.
