From May 25th to 26th local time, the last two performances of the Chinese ballet Raise the Red Lantern were staged at Rio City Theater. It is a good combination of Chinese and Western arts that tells a Chinese story in international ballet vocabulary and revitalizes the long-standing and well-established Chinese culture and art in the new era and on the other side of the ocean. The Eastern aesthetics and traditional Chinese culture conveyed by the artists from the National Ballet of China was completely presented in front of the Brazilians, and the enthusiastic audience from Rio proved the artistic strength and vitality of Chinese ballet with their waves of applauds and cheers again and again!

Chinese mainstream media such as China Central Television and Xinhua News Agency as well as the largest and most influential media in Brazil, even the whole South America including Folha de Sao Paulo, O estado de São Paulo, O Globo, TV Globo and Globo News reported the performances of National Ballet of China.

During May 29th to June 2nd, the Chinese ballet Raise the Red Lantern which was well received by Rio audiences will be presented in Sao Paulo. Moreover, National Ballet of China will present its premiere of the classic ballet Swan Lake to Sao Paulo audiences to fully demonstrate the overall artistic strength of National Ballet of China.
