At the beginning of 2019, the dancers of National Ballet of China arrived at Xibaipo, led by Wang Quanxing, the Secretary of the Party Committee of NBC, to fulfill the important mission of "Celebrating the New Year with Cultural Activities for People" by the Publicity Department of the Communist Party of China and the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. They dedicated three well-prepared public welfare performances and ballet popularization classes for the people in the old revolutionary base areas.

On the commemorative day of January 1st, 2019, artists of National Ballet of China came to Xibaipo, one the sacred places of revolution, and participated in the campaign themed "staying true to our original aspiration and mission", launched by General Secretary Xi Jinping. The artists memorized the great achievements of the revolutionary martyrs and staged the most exquisite performances with fullest passion to the people there.

During this trip, dancers of National Ballet of China made a special learning trip to Xibaipo Memorial before the performance.

In the morning of January 2nd, the artists of National Ballet of China were divided into two teams. They came to Jingye Middle School and Hequ Hope Primary School in Pingshan County, bringing a colorful ballet New Year's first lesson to the teachers and students of the two schools. With interesting and enthusiastic stage manners, simple and in-depth interpretation, the teachers Hu Tiantian and Zhang Man made wonderful lectures of the brief history and basic knowledge of ballet to the students of different ages. While the dancers showed wonderful repertoires of different ballet schools. The careful preparation of National Ballet of China and the in-depth interaction with the students have achieved a good teaching result, making the hundreds of children present realize the charm of ballet for the first time and enjoy the spring breeze of aesthetic education.
