To commemorate the 60th anniversary of the premiere of the SwanLake in China, artists from the National Ballet of China brought threeoutstanding performances to audiences at the National Centre for the PerformingArts in May 2018, which won popular praise. The Theater had a full house forthree consecutive days. The powerful appeal of Swan Lake and theexquisite interpretation of artists from National Ballet of China attractedthousands of ballet fans, of whom some said that they wanted to watch theperformances again and again while some missed the opportunity with regrets...

At the strong request of the audiences, artists from NationalBallet of China will bring the classic ballet Swan Lake into the PekingUniversity Hall on March 22nd and 23rd! What’s more, fromMay 7th to 13th, the artists will also bring theclassical ballet Swan Lake and the Chinese ballet Raise the RedLantern to Japanese audiences in the Tokyo Festival Hall. It is not only thefirst large-scale visit to Japan since the founding of the Company, but also asolemn tribute to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding ofthe People's Republic of China and the 60th anniversary of thefounding of the Company.

Artists performing in the Peking University Hall are same as thosein Japan, including Principal dancers Cao Shuci, Sun Ruichen and Xu Yan, aswell as excellent dancers Li Wentao. Zhang Yi, the former music director andthe principal conductor of National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra, and thecurrent Director of the China National Symphony Orchestra, and Liu Ju, theresident conductor of NBC Symphony Orchestra, together with all the musicianswill reproduce the classical music of Tchaikovsky.
