In the magnificent evening of the old town by the Douro River andthe intoxicating charm emitted from the lights, the first performance of the National Ballet of China in Porto, the second-largest city of Portugal, kicked off.

As the first visit of National Ballet of China in Portugal, the Chinese artists selected three of the most representative ballet works: the romantic ballet Giselle Act II, the Chinese symphony ballet The Yellow River and Carmen, the masterpiece of Roland Petit, which were jointly presented in the splendid Ballet Gala, a combination of Chinese and Western arts. On the stage of Porto Coliseum on the evening of March 27^th,in front of more than two thousand Porto audience, artists of National Ballet of China staged wonderful performance in Coliseu Porto Ageas.
