Before the performance, Zhu Yan, the Deputy Director of National Ballet of China made a introduction of the show to the audience.

Facing the drizzle of early spring in Beijing, on the evening of April 9th, Chasing Dreams – The 2019 Dancers' Annual Assessment Show of National Ballet of China premiered at the Tianqiao Theater as scheduled, and attracted thousands of the ballet fans. The assessment show turned the "examination room" into a "stage", allowing the dancers to complete the appraisal test. For the audience, the show is also a wonderful ballet gala, which kicked off with a warm cheer from the audience.
