On December 12th and 13th, the classic ballet Swan Lake was performed in Beijing Tianqiao Theater as the eighth performance, which had brought another climax to the Performing Season to Celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of National Ballet of China.

In the performance on December 12th, the Principal Dancer of the National Ballet of China Xu Yan danced "Odette (White Swan)" and " Odile ( Black Swan)". Another Principal Dancer Li Wentao danced "Siegfried"; On December 13th, the outstanding dancers Fang Mengying and Chen Zhuming played as the "White Swan", the "Black Swan" and the "Prince". Their superb dance skills and delicate performance have profoundly expressed the ballet a classic masterpiece still shines after hundred years.
All the other roles were brought alive onto the stage in a wonderful and accurate way, such as "Benno" by Wu Sicong, " Von Rothbart" by Li Ke, the beautiful and elegant "Three Whooper Swans" by Qiu Yunting, Liu Xuechen and Li Jie, and the vivid and lively "Four Little Swans" by Wang Ye, Zhan Xinlu, Sun Xiaoqian and Xie Huan. At the same time, Zhang Yi, the music director of the National Ballet of China and Liu Ju, the resident conductor, conducted two performances respectively. They brought a wonderful enjoyment through the change of conducting styles. In addition, the musicians led by the concertmaster Wang Xiaomao brought the audience an authentic Tchaikovsky music feast.
