An encounter between ballet and children in the mountains has ignited the creation passion of several artists of National Ballet of China. After experienced rural art education, a group of volunteers full of strong responsibility, made a micro-film The Track with their enthusiasm and artistic perspectives, which builds a bridge between ballet and rural children's hearts. Today, the trailer of the micro-film is launched.
In January 2018, the National Ballet of China, together with YouChange China Social Entrepreneur Foundation's project "The One", went to the villages of Luanping County, Hebei Province. Within three days, the Company visited 12 elementary and secondary schools and brought public ballet lessons to local teachers and students, which has won a strong response and favorable comments.
During the three days' visit, the artists of National Ballet of China were deeply surprised and touched, and the children's love of ballet art is beyond our expectation.
Inspired and supported by the Company directors and in full cooperation with "The One", the creative team soon gathered a group of enthusiastic volunteers from all walks of life including artists of NBC and photographer He Zhiwei. After experiencing the life in Luanping for many times in the past year, Li Yang, one of the choreographers of National Ballet of China, developed the idea of telling the stories in Luanping with ballet and video images. Wang Qimin, the prima ballerina of National Ballet of China, will have her screen debut in this film.
The film is based on an art teacher who sticking to Luanping's art education, and tells a story between a female dance teacher who struggling and expecting in the ideal and reality and a second-grade little girl who is dreaming to dance.
This is a brand-new exploration for the National Ballet of China by combining video images with ballet art, and it is also another demonstration of the popularization of art education for the National Ballet of China. The micro-film aims to appeal to the society to pay more attention and support to the rural aesthetic education.
