At the beginning of 2020, the pneumonia outbreak suddenly broke out. At a time when countless lives are threatened, thousands of medical workers are fighting in the frontline, medical researchers, PLA officers, and builders of newly-built emergency hospitals have put life and death aside and rushed to the forefront of fighting the epidemic. Urged efforts were paid to race against time in combating the novel coronavirus and winning the battle of epidemic prevention and control.

Although the artists of the National Ballet of China cannot fight with the heroes on the frontline, we still do the daily practice and ballet creation at home in the best way we can, making donation to charity , offering help, conveying confidence to overcome the difficulties together.

This is a relay of love. Director Feng Ying, together with the creative team and cast representatives of the 10th Ballet Workshop, Wang Sizheng, Peng Kejia, Zheng Yu , Su Yang, Peng Jie, Li Yang, Qi Haohan, Zhang Yizhu, etc., passed on our love and strength to Wuhan through network at home. On behalf of all the artists in the National Ballet of China, they paid high respect to all the anti-epidemic heroes fighting in the frontline and cheered for them to fight against the pneumonia.

Thanks to all the medical workers, we believe that under the leadership of the CPC Central Committee and with the support of the people of the whole country, we will surely win the battle of epidemic prevention and control…" Qi Jinsong, assistant to the artistic director and stage manager of the National Ballet of China, and representatives of Hubei performers and staff- Wang Xiaomao, assistant music director of the National Ballet of China and concertmaster of NBC symphony orchestra, and outstanding dancers Sun Yali and Peng Jie sent home-recorded videos via the Internet respectively. In the video, we can see their deep concern for Hubei people, and firm confidence in defeating the pneumonia!
