On the evenings of June 30 and July 1, the Chinese ballet The Red Detachment of Women was simultaneously and powerfully staged at the Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre Grand Theatre and the Dalian Grand Theatre. Spanning the south and the north, the performances brought the timeless artistic charm of this classic Chinese ballet to audiences in both cities, while also serving as a profound tribute to the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China.
