"Hello everyone! My name is Xu Mengyue and I am a member of Yangfan Wind Band of Chongqing Special Education Center. We have participated in many performances together, but we have never seen ballet. Our teacher said that the music and dance of ballet is very beautiful. Today we all will cherish this opportunity to enjoy the beautiful ballet. Finally, I have a little wish, Uncle Xu Gang, could you please give me a hug?......" --- the words from Chongqing Special Education Center's student Xu Mengyue touched all the people on site.

In the mountains of Nan'an District of Chongqing, there is a special school, where the sound of reading poems and books aloud filled the campus, but the silence of the students "read" braille replaced the sound of writing and reading. However, the school labeled with "special" is full of vitality and happiness in the smiling faces of the students. It is the Chongqing Special Education Center, a happy home of 278 visual-impaired students.

On October 22nd, just two days after the artists of the National Ballet of China giving performances of "High Art into Campus" in Zhengzhou which showed the beauty of ballet to the hearing-impaired students from School of Special Education in Zhengzhou Normal University, another team of artists of National Ballet of China visited Chongqing Special Education Center with the purpose of actively promoting high arts into campus, further enriching the cultural life on campus, paying attention to the healthy growth of disabled teenagers, and helping cultivate the outstanding quality of disabled students' continuous self-improvement. A lively activity with the theme of "Remain true to our original aspiration and keep our mission firmly in mind" was held with the joint efforts of National Ballet of China, Chongqing Grand Theatre and Chongqing Special Education Center, before the performance of The Red Detachment of Women in Chongqing.,

Touching the braille books and feeling the strength in "darkness"

In order to help the National Ballet of China's artists have better understanding to the students who lived and studied here as soon as possible, and to fully understand the particularity of visual-impaired groups, President Li Longmei started this fellowship activity with a special blind guide and help class.

Assistant of Artistic Director, General Répétiteur and ballet master of National Ballet of China, Xu Gang has shown the legend history of ballet and magnificent and glorious of Chinese and foreign ballet. Excellent dancers Liu Xuechen and Hou Shuang showed the beauty of ballet to teachers and students with excerpts from The Dying Swan and Passions of Yimeng from Yimeng- A Ballet in Three Chapters. Although most of the visual-impaired students can't see the beauty of ballet, they are impressed with the incomparable "beauty" of ballet in their hearts through touching and feeling the painstaking feet and pointe shoes of ballet dancers.

She felt both nervous and excited to touched pointe shoes for the first time.

Wu Jieyu said after touching the dancer's feet: "This is a pair of very powerful feet, they have been dancing on tiptoe for a long-term so lightly and beautifully. There must a lot of efforts they've been made. I want to give them thumbs up!"

The girl with ballet dream was held high by Ma Xiaodong, the Premier Danseur of NBC.

Chongqing Special Education Center presented a banner entitled "Flower of Emotion Blooming in Ballet Dance, the Fancy Encounters in Nanshan" and a performance promotion page for The Red Detachment of Women engraved with braille. While Xu Gang presented the statue of "The Red Detachment of Women" representing the spirit of the National Ballet of China to the Center on behalf of all the dancers and staff of National Ballet of China.
