On the evening of June 14th, National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra (NBCSO), conducted by Lin Daye, the famous conductor and music director of Shenzhen Symphony Orchestra, appeared on the stage of Concert Hall of National Center for the Performing Arts and presented a splendid concert with the theme of "Glory of German Symphony" to the audience.
Following the international performance convention of matching new contemporary works with classic chapters, NBCSO kicked off the show with young composer Wang Shuci's "The Long Goodbye". It's also an achievement of NBCSO's another deep participation in the NCPC "Young Composer Program".
Under the theme of "celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the National Ballet of China", conductor Lin Daye and musicians of NBCSO encored "Happy Woman Soldiers", a selection from the ballet The Red Detachment of Women. The light and cute woodwinds and the heartful emotion of the strings together with the delicate percussions, contributed to another superb interpretation of the classic melodies, bringing the concert to a successful ending.
