On October 8th, the first working day after the National Day holiday, the dancers of National Ballet of China and the musicians of the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra gathered in Nanjing, Jiangsu for different performances. The dancers of the National Ballet of China performed the classic Chinese ballet The Red Detachment of Women at the Nanjing Poly Theatre, while the musicians of the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra were invited to perform for the 2019 Jiangsu Zijin Culture & Art Festival. At the Jiangsu Centre for the Performing Arts Concert Hall, NBC Symphony Orchestra gave the first performance of the theme concert tour Red Melody with Symphony of Ages.

Under the conduct of Liu Ju, the resident conductor of the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra, the concert was well interpreted by more than 80 musicians led by Wang Xiaomao, assistant of the music director and concertmaster of the orchestra.
