On February 23rd, the National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra ushered the "first performance" after the Spring Festival of the year of the Pig. Under the conduction of renowned conductor Zhang Yi, and excellent cellist Xu Xuanhan, the orchestra staged a wonderful concert with the theme of "Fantasy and Aesthetic Night", again in the Concert Hall of the National Centre for the Performing Arts.

The concert is a special tribute to the 70th Anniversary of the Founding of the People's Republic of China and the 60th Anniversary of the Founding of the National Ballet of China. In the enthusiastic applause of the audience, Zhang Yi and the orchestra performed the Changqing Showing the Way, excerpts from The Red Detachment of Women Scene I, in which, with two exquisite solos of the principal violinist and cello, the musicians of National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra paid tribute to the traditional accumulation of the orchestra and made a new search for more excellent music.
