Cheng Xinran graduated from the Ballet Department of Beijing Dance Academy in 2016 and became a dancer of the National Ballet of China in the same year. In 2022, she graduated from Beijing Dance Academy with a master’s degree in dance, majoring in ballet education.

In 2010, she won the Huaxia Award in the Beijing International Ballet Invitational for Dance Schools, the Third Prize in the junior group of the National Dance Competition(Taoli Cup) in 2012, the First Prize in the 4th National College Students’ Art Performance, and the First Prize in the professional youth group of the 7th Dance Competition of Five Provinces and Cities in North China.

She has danced in many ballets such as Swan Lake, The Red Detachment of Women, La Sylphide, L'arlesienne, Cinderella, The Yellow River, The Song of Life, Yimeng- A Ballet in Three Chapters and El Testamento de Amelia. She participated in the teaching work of courses Basic Skills and Techniques of Ballet and Aesthetic Education and Basic Training of Ballet in Tsinghua University. In 2023, she served as executive coordinator and executive director in the ballet gala “The Dream of Swan”: Graduation Show for Class 2017 of The School of NBC.
