National Ballet of China Symphony Orchestra was founded in 1959. Its members are mainly graduates from major music academies of China. The Orchestra has played all of the music for NBC performances as well as held many symphony concerts. The Orchestra has engaged in extensive international exchanges and developed a broad repertory. It has collaborated with the Paris Opera Ballet, the Royal Ballet, Kirov Ballet, Danish Royal Ballet, Swedish Royal Ballet among others. In recent years, it has constantly engaged in making recordings that have received widespread acclaim.
